Born and raised in North Louisiana, Cecelia married her college sweetheart, John Simon, currently WR and Pass Game Coordinator at University of Memphis. Together, they have two sons, John and James and reside in Memphis, TN.
Cecelia has had the honor of traveling the country to speak and minister— including but, not limited to, corporate executives, retreats, teen-summits, seminars, workshops, conferences, and commencement ceremonies just to name a few. She is the founder of Coaches Wives Unite and Caterpillars Transformed - both platforms created to empower, encourage and educate women.
Her ministry is fueled by a desire to see her audience purposefully transform and WIN in marriage. Her first book, entitled The One Day Hope: A Christian Guide to Learning Life was published in 2014. Her second book, Married to Coach Submitted to Both introduced to the world in May 2018.
Cecelia’s words birthed from a place of authenticity, truth, and transparency have been nothing short of a page turner. The One Day Hope connects with audiences both large and small. Cecelia’s most recent masterpiece, Married to Coach, Submitted to Both, is for coaches’ wives who are in search of their purpose in their husband’s profession. The pages provide a safe place where illumination provokes application resulting in transformation.
Corporately, Cecelia has successfully motivated a room of over 650 employers and employees at the Pentec Health’s National Field Meeting in St. Petersburg Florida in 2017. An Inc. 5000 company that has also been recognized as the fastest growing health and wellness company in the region.
Cecelia is committed to the transformation process and finds her passion in assisting others in doing the same. She believes that transformation begins in the mind, not in your circumstances and as a woman of faith she has been chosen by God to help others embrace this truth, as well. Cecelia holds a myriad of accomplishments in education including, a bachelor’s degree in Business Administration from Louisiana Tech University and a Master of Arts in Counseling degree from Dallas Baptist University. Cecelia is also a Certified English Language Arts and Reading Teacher and holds an Advanced Certification in Guidance Counseling for grades K-12.
